As with all charities, EBCSA is guided by volunteers who give their time and skills to ensure our facilities and programmes make a lasting difference in the community. Meet the Trustees of EBCSA below.
Andy Walker
Chair, Director, and Trustee of EBCSA. and long-time supporter of local rugby. A qualified building consultant, and now serving as a Non-Executive Director across several organisations. With a long-standing commitment to supporting the local community, Andy played a key role in the successful campaign to open BBG as a secondary school for the area. He brings leadership, experience, and passion to EBCSA’s mission to improve local sports facilities.
Simon Armitage
A former rugby league player for Birkenshaw ARLFC, Simon is a Director and Trustee of EBCSA. He is a Yorkshire-based senior manager with over 24 years’ experience in leading large-scale data and customer location service solutions. Driven by a passion for community sport, Simon is part of the team working to transform local facilities to ensure they are safe, modern, and accessible to all.
Andy Redmond
Director and Trustee of EBCSA and Treasurer of Birkenshaw Bluedogs, where he formerly played as a prop. With a background in legal services and debt management, Andy brings a practical, hands-on approach to supporting the club’s operations. Passionate about grassroots sport and giving back to the community, he plays a key role in helping to maintain and develop local facilities for future generations.
Nicky Redmond
Director of EBCSA Facilities Ltd and Bookkeeper for EBCSA. A proud supporter of the Bluedogs and the better half of Andy, Nicky brings valuable organisational skills to the team. Now retired, she previously worked as a Project Manager in the finance industry, and remains committed to supporting grassroots sport and community development.
Bolu Fagborun
Director and Trustee of EBCSA, coach at Birkenshaw Bluedogs, and former professional rugby league player. He played internationally for Nigeria and coached the national team to success. He is a Trustee at Bradford Bulls Foundation, sits on the West Yorkshire Mayor’s Culture, Heritage and Sport Committee, and is Managing Director of Fagborun Ltd, working as a leadership coach and consultant
Nathan Page
Director and Trustee of EBCSA, Facilities Secretary at Gomersal & Cleckheaton FC (GCFC), and Manager of the club’s First Team. Professionally, he works as an Infrastructure Project Manager in the water industry. Nathan brings his organisational skills and passion for grassroots football to support the development and improvement of local sports facilities.
Chris Marsden
Chris is a Director and Trustee of EBCSA, Vice Chair of Gomersal & Cleckheaton FC (GCFC), and manager of one of the club’s youth teams. He is the founder and Managing Director of businesses in IT consultancy and managed services. Passionate about community sport and youth development, Chris is married with three children, two of whom play for GCFC.
